Midges: Whilst Kielder hosts a good deal of adorable wildlife, be aware that the midge population of Kielder are now fully awake and are in residence. Please plan accordingly. Along with the local shop, we stock repellent, head-nets and candles.
The work on our access road bridge has been completed. We no longer have a diversion in place, you can approach Kielder from the South once again.
We no longer allow open fires on site. This includes fire-bowls and is non negotiable. We have BBQ stands d
otted around the site which are perfect for disposable BBQ’s or putting your own charcoal in. Camping gas stoves, trangias and Cob cookers are fine.

We strongly advise you to view the Kielder Tavern FB page as we have no control over the establishments opening or serving times. We envisage that on quiet days through the week they may only open from 5.00pm. Click on the link to view: Facebook: Kielder Tavern
